Smarteh celebrates 24 years of innovation, growth, and sustainable development

This year, Smarteh proudly celebrates its 24th anniversary, marking nearly a quarter-century of innovation, excellence, and continuous growth in the fields of industrial and building automation as well as Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS).

Since its founding in 2001, Smarteh has grown from a pioneering local company into a globally recognized provider of advanced automation and electronics solutions.

To date, Smarteh has developed, manufactured, and delivered automation equipment for more than:

  • 100.000 passenger cabins on ships and oil & gas platforms

  • 70.000 industrial kitchen hoods

  • 2.000 hotel rooms and other accommodation units

  • and the production of 10 million printed circuit boards (PCBs) annually, representing approximately 100 million electronic components each year

This remarkable progress reflects Smarteh’s dedication to innovation, quality, and long-term partnerships that drive technological advancement across industries.

Unlike previous celebrations, this year’s anniversary carried special significance.
The Smarteh team gathered for the first time in the new conference room of the recently completed Smarteh HQ expansion, a state-of-the-art facility now spanning 2,500 m² and reflecting the company’s ongoing commitment to progress and innovation.

The day began with an inspiring address by Smarteh’s CEO Miro Crv, who reflected on Smarteh’s journey from its humble beginnings to becoming a recognized industry leader with a global footprint.

“Our 24th anniversary is not only a celebration of our history, but also a testament to the people, partnerships, and innovations that continue to drive us forward. As we look toward the future, we remain committed to creating smarter technologies that make a lasting impact on industries around the world,” said Miro Crv, CEO of Smarteh.

Over the past decade, Smarteh has expanded its reach, strengthened strategic partnerships, and delivered cutting-edge automation solutions that enable industries worldwide to operate smarter, more efficiently, and more sustainably.

Following the morning gathering, the team visited Kozlov Rob Castle, a historic landmark first mentioned in the 12th century.
Nestled in the heart of the Tolmin Valley, the castle served as a symbolic reminder of heritage, endurance, vision, and perseverancevalues that continue to define Smarteh’s growth and resilience through time.

The celebration concluded with a team-building event and a social gathering by the picturesque Tolminka Riverwhere employees shared memories, laughter, and a renewed sense of unity and pride in the company’s shared achievements.
